I like the nokia 6110 and GPS setting for the phone. Click on Settings > Phone Settings > General (and then scroll to the bottom )> Positioning > Positioning methods and check all except the Bluetooth GPS enabled. If you have an external bluetooth GPS available then you may select that too. For A-GPS = Assisted GPS to work you need GPRS data enabled as the phone will take assistance from the network to determine your position. You also need to check that "Positioning server" is set to "supl.nokia.com" rather than a network variant. Without A-GPS it can take a lot longer to get that initial satellite lock-on, so perhaps go outside with unobstructed view of sky. |
