Hello, Friends, just wanted to post some common SEO tips...

Okay so what exactly is search engine optimization (SEO) and why one's site needs that. Well with a few words, that means tweaking a particular site's content so that it is as the term stands: search engine friendly. Such a practice usually requires some programming skills since you are mostly dealing with html code here. A basic example is to bold a word using the "b" or "strong" tag. Robots (web crawlers) also notice this word as more important than the rest of the content. So for similar search term you might get a higher score or position in the search results.
However that is the on-site part of the SEO process but there is also an external to site process that can be generalized as link building and content syndication. I should say here that often the amount of the external links pointing to your site is proportional to the amount of visitors it would receive. That last's pretty logical huh but it is a result not only of the internet surfers clicking on these external links but also due to the fact that the more links you got pointing to your site the more the search engine crawlers would visit your site as well as regular visitors and eventually the site may receive a higher search engine ranking for particular search terms...
Okay so far, but not only the amount of links is an important factor for the rank of your site. Most of the time even more important is the actual relevancy of these links. That is because the overall purpose of major search engines like Google, Yahoo... is to show their users the most relevant results for particular search terms. So for example, a link to your site is located on another site that has a similar subject to yours. That would mean the link's relevant and proper in it's context and location so crawlers will probably give a higher score to your site for search terms similar to that subject and also consider a higher weight on that particular link than several others that are found around content with nothing in common to the one on your site.
Placing the proper links on the right place may require a lot of time and effort. That needs some research and knowledge to find these places and also to know what exactly the link should contain in it's title as well as its anchor text. Also it usually takes time for your link to be approved (when submitting to web directories for example). Sometimes you actually have to buy these links and if you are not well familiar with that practice you may end up giving money for poor quality links or other type of scam. So if you have some extra dollars to invest in a professional link building service that would save you a lot of time and headaches.
So what do you get with SEO? Well, I should say: mostly a strong online presence. That brings more and more people to your site every day and and quite effectively populates your brand. My personal experience here is that nothing sales so well and probably more inexpensively than a well tweaked, good looking, working around the clock 7 days a week online marketing site.
